Close Game, Doddridge Falls

Doddridge County was ahead going into halftime, having a 7-6 advantage over Bishop. Donahue. Curtis Anderson scored on a 1-yard push and Corey Hinterer's kick gave the Bulldogs the 7-0 lead. Bishop. Donahue would score before the half, but failed on the two-point conversion. Bishop Donahue came back after the half, and scored on a 1-yard run to take the win over Doddridge. Doddridge finishes their season at 4-5.

'Dogs Fall to Mountain Lions 36-6

Tucker County broke open a close game in the third

quarter to go on to defeat Doddridge County 36-6 in Parsons on Friday night. The Bulldogs had a chance to get on the board early as Adam Weekly fell on a fumbled punt deep in Tucker territory.  But a 4th down pass completion to Landry Marrs fell just short of the first down marker to stop the drive.

'Dogs Blank Border Rival Ritchie County



ELLENBORO - After a 1-5 start, Doddridge County has won two in a row.  The Bulldogs shutout border rival Ritchie County 19-0 in Ellenboro. The Bulldogs scored all their points in the first half, courtesy of touchdown runs from Curtis Anderson and Zach Holden and a Justin Heflin interception return. Heflin paced the Bulldog offensive attack, carrying the ball 24 times for 101 yards. The Bullodgs hit the road for Parsons next week to visit Tucker County.

Doddridge Tops Bellaire St. Johns, Gets Win #2

Doddridge County got off to a 21-0 first quarter lead and never looked back
in defeating Bellaire St. John of Ohio, 42-6 in West Union on Friday night.
Landry Marrs caught a 65-yard TD pass from Curtis Anderson to open
the scoring early for the Bulldogs.  Anderson threw for 127 yards on
the night and added TD throws to Nick Mires and Tim Curtis.  Justin Heflin,
Zach Holden and Adam Weekley all scored touchdowns for the 'Dogs.  Doddridge
County will host rival Ritchie County on Friday night.

Doddridge Shut Out by Parkersburg Catholic 31-zip

Doddridge Gets First Win of Season

It was either going to be Doddridge Co. or Gilmer Co. on Friday night that was going to be able to break their losing streak and take their first win of the season. Both teams were 0-4 going into Friday night's game, but Doddridge came out on top with a 54-14 win over the Titans. Doddridge walks away from this matchup 1-4 for the season as they prepare for Parkersburg Cath. next weekend.

Tigers Too Much for 'Dogs, 33-14

Wirt County jumped out to a 19-0 lead and went on to defeat Doddridge County 33-14 in West Union on Friday night. Tiger quarterback Dalton Brindo threw three touchdown passes to lead Wirt County. Landry Marrs caught a 10 yard TD pass from Curtis Anderson and Justin Heflin ran 5 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter to account for the Bulldogs' scoring. Doddridge will look to get in the win column as they travel to Gilmer County on Friday night.

Bulldogs Now 0-3 After Loss to Calhoun Co.
Doddridge County dropped their third straight as the Bulldogs fell to Calhoun County 29-6. The Bulldogs fumbled the opening kickoff and could never recover. Doddridge's only score of the game came in the second quarter when Zach Holden ran in a 6-yard touchdown. The Dogs will host Wirt County on Friday.

'Dogs Suffer 2nd Straight Loss, 34-22 at Valley (F)
Doddridge County dropped their second straight contest, 34-22 at Valley Fayette. DCHS hosts LKC rival Calhoun County Friday.



Doddridge County Falls to South Harrison
It was an exciting and close game up until the fourth quarter, as the Bulldogs defense couldn't stop the Hawks from making their way into the endzone widening their lead to 33-20. With a little over four minutes left in the game, Doddridge's Landry Marrs had a 22-yard touchdown to bring the score to 33-27. Speedy Bulldogs Ready to RunDoddridge County head coach Dan McConnell is hoping that speed at the skill positions translates into wins in 2009. Returning wide receivers Nick Myers and state hurdles champion Zack Holden will be catching passes from returning quarterback Curtis Anderson. The 'Dogs do need to find lineman to pave the way upfront.
